Professional Counselling in Elgin
Member of the British Association of Counsellors
I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).
Practitioner member of COSCA
I am also a Practioner member of COSCA (Counselling & Psychotherapy in Scotland).
How Do I Work?
My diploma is in Person Centred Counselling. However, through further training and experience, I now work in a more integrative way, taking different approaches with adults and children.
I value different aspects of the various theories that currently exist and usually intuitively know what will suit your individual needs.
Seeing a counsellor means seeing someone who is removed from what is going on and can therefore see the problem with more clarity. This means that you can talk to me without worrying how your problem will affect me.

Why Do People Contact Me?
I work with a wide range of issues; some people know exactly what the problem is and are looking for help and support to understand it. However, some people just know something is wrong but cannot pin point what that is. I provide a safe space to explore what is going on in an environment where I will not judge them or tell them what to do.
What Can I Offer?
I offer a confidential and friendly service and work in a very accepting way. Some of the issues I work with are stress, bereavement, survivors of sexual abuse, domestic abuse, depression, work related stress, trauma, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), low confidence/self-esteem and personal identity.
